Agree, it's quite strange that EMI would only effect transmission one of the ways, which is why I was skeptical that was a cause. But then again, it doesn't seem like anything should be causing this problem...

I did try manually specifying 100 mbps full duplex on both computers with no change. I'm going to try manually specifying 100 mbps half duplex today, to see if that has any effect.
