Well I have given up on this SoundStorm system. This system sounded so great with the SoundWorks SW320 speakers, I thought I would get a set of surround sound Dolby speakers, a set of 6 speakers. It does not matter how I connect the center & bass, or the rear SS speakers they do not have enough volume to hear them. After spending about an hour with ASUS tech on this matter, He stated he has the same problem. He could not get the volume up on these channels either. He suggested to forget the designated way in the manual and use the three plugs in a row including the green plug. This would disable the mike and sound in capabilities of the sound system. After a day, and too much frustration, I installed the Santa Cruz sound card that I had been using prior to this system. Now I have all channels and these are great. Surround Sound sounds so good when all the channels are there. So my thoughts on the SoundStorm is if you have a speaker set with only one input, the SoundStorm would be great. If you have a speaker set with more than one input line. You will be much better off using a good sound card.
