A magnet creates an electrical field in a conductive medium if it is within a certain distance relative to its field strength. If you were to drop a magnet while fiddling in the case or if one were to be accidentally disloged, and if it were to land on an IC component, then a possible dead or damaged chip would certainely result as if it were ESD. >

I like the system from the review, but I would lose the magnets in favor of a mechanical attachment. I commend you for noting the lack of one, but you missed the EMF problem. I think I will still try one out. Thanks for an interesting review.
