Default Greyhat hunted by the FBI

Lets try a decent discussion shall we

http://www.securityfocus.com/news/6888

Adrian Lamo is a greyhat cracker, he cracked various big corporations networks, and told them how to fix their holes, he has caused no real damage, except some embaressment to the publicised companies

After doing this to the NYT, they initiated an FBI investigation on him

Right or wrong?

I think it's wrong, i'm not American (UK) btw, but, i think the FBI could spend their time better than hunting down a good guy, i know he broke the/several laws, but how many people can say they have never broken any law, even with good intention

All this does is make people less likely to want to help, if this is what happens when you try to help, you might as well not bother, i hope someone finds a new exploit in the NYT and use it against them
