File sharers get some real protection, The ACLU files lawsuit on behalf of file sharers. The motion is interesting if read. It doesn't say a whole lot that the EFF hasn't already said (if you've listened), but no one listens to the EFF. However, people DO listen to the ACLU, and they also probably have better lawyers.

MS is looking for IM interoperability. Also, GAIM has added beta support to the new Yahoo protocols, which Yahoo has had for a week or so.
