I see that I'm going to be in the minority here, but I like my intel machines, I've got a couple of old P1 machines that are still used every day by my younger kids without any problems.  My older boys are running PII's, one is a 433 and the other is an 800, they supposedly use them for school, but all I seem to catch them using them for is gaming and they are working great.  My toy is a Dell Dimension 8100, P4 1.4ghz, w/256mb ram & a 64bit NVIDIA GEFORCE video card.  This baby rocks at whatever I want to do with it, games, office apps, imaging, you name it and it happens fast!  My only regret is that I didn't stick with Win98se instead of upgrading? to WinME.
