Hey troubled, I am having the same issue with my 120g Serial ATA drive from Western Digital.

I was successful in loading WinXP for about a week until it crashed. All it would do is start loading windows and then reboot! I tried to reinstall WinXP, but just as it reached the portion to look at the actuall drive it locked up and went to that medium blue screen that says it had to stop in order to protect the computer etc.

I have asked Gigabyte about this along with Silicon Image and I get the run around. Obviously they have issues.
