you don't need a big video card to run it. I can run it just fine now (which is really suprising). Detail is at medium pretty much
I like it more then What I know of doom 3 (just the demo) because, well, D3 killed my computer, HL2 dosen't, and it looks wonderful. I'm loving everything about it so far.
