I would EASILY reccomend Gentoo.. incredible features... I'm currently dual booting that on my PowerEdge 420. next onees i'd reccomend (in order)
debian (apt-get is nice)
vector (slackware based)
but yeah all in all I'd reccomend Gentoo over anything else.
