Not sure if it were mentioned or not but its almost, but not perfectly, impossible to get around 8e6 filters. It is now possible to have 8e6 filtering locally in a work place or school but its mainly done in a huge place somewhere far, far away from you. So, unless you can truly hack a server, a most likely very strong server, give up. I don't know about BESS but I do know it'd be extremely difficult to kill or bypass 8e6.
