Seems like I should raise my reading comprehension and not read bad articles either.

Is a very confusing article. You read on and see they do have an out-of-warranty repair service. Apparently the author was upset because they did not have a warranty longer than 1 year. That is pretty standard on electronic devices, so I am not sure WHY they wrote the article.
