In a bold move the company says that they will demo Quad core CPU's by the end of 2006 and will be commercially available for consumer purchase by 2007. AMD is well known for pushing the envelope and developing new technologies that benefit the consumer. Is AMD once again ahead of the curve or are they treading into dangerous waters when dual core hasn't even been fully supported in applications yet?
