VNC for a freebie is great, but it does pale in comparision to PC Anywhere.

In my personal opinion PC Anywhere rules in all aspects of control and security.

For a freebie that works, VNC will do the job, if you're looking for reliability, security and functionality, PC Anywhere is the way to go.

I use the VNC for internal use only, wouldn't trust having my front door wide open for anyone to just walk in. Oh, be back later someone's at the door now  ;D
