It is in fact 10Mbps or 1.25MBps, but it works the same for DSL/Cable so 1-3Mbps connections actually run at 250-750KBps.

Either way, 100BaseTX won't take too long to come out after that, unless they try to reel in customers to 10BaseT for a while to greedily make a few pennies more when 100BaseTX comes out. Then comes 1000BaseTX (the current limit), and by that time, all servers will likely be on much faster connections, and we downloadin @ 125MBps!!!
