Default video card problem? maybe?

Hi,

system specs:

soyo p4s-645d dragon lite
pentium 4 1.8ghz
512mb hynix
gainward geforce4 ti4200 128mb AGP 4x: GZ1620AFP030
Nvidia 66.93 driver
bios: 4.25.00.28.00
160G hdd
liteon 8x dvd+/-rw
winxp sp2
envision monitor 17in

ok, here's the problem:

My graphics card has been working for about 2-3 years since i got it.
Ok, i've only developed this problem recently. When I play NFSU2 or
Counter-Strike Source, the graphics fails. What happens is, the screen
goes into a pixelated white and light blue screen without any error msg.

Sometimes also, while i'm not doing anything graphics intensive, the
screen goes to garbage just like above, and I can't ctrl+alt+del to
restart but have to do a hard restart.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling older drivers, checking bios
settings to safe mode, reduce graphics accelerations, and even tested
the memory integrity with memtestx86.exe (which had no errors), and still
i have the same pixelated error.

I've formatted my computer and tested the same thing, with no luck.
I've ran multiple tests with 3dmark03, but the tests are always
interrupted by the error, with no way but to do a hard restart.

Can this be a graphics card hardware problem? I've ruled out most of
the other possibilities, memory, cpu, hdd, power supply.
Please email me with suggestions.

If it is a graphics card hardware error, how can i get it repaired it?

Thank you.

It looks like you've narrowed it down pretty good. Do you have or have access to another video card? If so, you can substitute it in for the 4200 and check to see if you get the same problem.
