Default RSS doomed.

As RSS is becoming more known to the mainstream users and press, the bandwidth issue reported by many sites (Eweek, CNet, InternetNews) related to feeds is becoming a reality. Stats from sites like Boing Boing are showing a real concern regarding feeds bandwidth usage.

I think the problem is that we are still trying to use packets to stream data. That means that instead of sending a single stream of data, broadcasters are sending duplicated streams for each user. It's time for access points and a digital TV type (or digital radio) of layout.

There's an option for most vehicles that increases brake horsepower, increases mileage, increases driver control, lasts longer than the alternative, and even reduces the price of the vehicle. Despite all this, most people in this country choose the alternative, an automatic transmission.

I agree, have internet tv, so you can log on at a certian time, and you're met with a broadcast. It would be awsome because ppl could watch tv and brouse the net at the same time.

The thing is, it wouldn't be on-demand if everyone was made to do that, defeating the entire purpose of RSS.
