Default PC Running slow, why?

Hey Guys,

My PC Specs:

AMD Athlon 3000+
512 RAM
80 HDD
Radeon 9800 AIW

Right, my PC is running badly at the moment, its like i have loads of background processes running, or loads of spyware, but i don't. What i've done:

- Virus scanned (none found @ norton 2004)
- Spyware scanned (microsoft spyware program)
- Uninstalled all programs i don't need
- Took everything but the essentials from the startup
- Defragged
- Disk cleanuped
- Took the test @ pcpitstop.com and didn't have any problems

So i really can't understand why my PC is running slow? If there is anything anyone can think of, tests, ideas or solutions, all greatly appreciated .

Cheers,
Taz

Yeah I find adaware and spybot to be the best combination of programs to get the job done!

Taz-, you could also go through your BIOS double checking options or reset it all to default. Is your RAM PC3200? what speed is your HD?
