Default Intel Moves Closer to 45nm Penryn Processor Production

Looks like Intel has really taken hold of the lead and won't let go easily.

Intel has recently demonstrated high-k + metal gate transistor breakthroughs on 45nm
microprocessors and while Legit Reviews didn't get to see it in person we have been
in contact with Intel following the developments that took place this week in
California. If you're interested in Intel's 45nm Penryn family of processors and
what the future holds for Intel this is a must read!

Quote: "Intel has been able to nail down their high-k + metal gate transistor
technology and the next generation dual-core and quad-core processors will have the
new transistors. The first processor family to use this new technology will be
Penryn, which is the next generation Intel Core 2 processor. Thanks to the high-k +
metal gate technology the 45nm part will benefit from clock rate improvements..."
