winword.exe has generated errors and will shut down app

I have read past replies about this issue. I have done a search for WFWORD2K.dot and there is not a file like that. The docuement is about 1.5MGS.. It is huge. Everytime I open it up , I get that WINWORD.exe error message. I am using WINDOWS 2000 pro as my OS. Any suggestions would be great!

try to reinstall office or check to see if there are any updates. Some times updates will replace a corrupted file that is causing an error
