Default Its Offical: PCMods.com is on the Auction Block

It seems PCMods.com is for auction. PCMods has been an excellent source for the modding crowd and it will be a shame to lose it. We can only hope the new owners will provide the kinds of products that old one did. Techwarelabs has confirmed this news.

In case you happen to have a few thousand $$$ handy and have a yen to open a modding site, this could be for you. Go BID.

Here is the offical comment from PCMods.com

Hello Jason.

Yes, we are selling pcmods.

The circumstances:
The founders enjoyed starting the company and innovating much more in the
birth of the case mod business. In the last year particularly, they have
gotten into a variety of different projects that they felt were more
interesting, more profitable, or both. To a large extent, they have
preferred to work on these interests for the past year. For the last 6
months the company has essentially run on autopilot.

The future:
PcMods is still a profitable, viable business to this day. Were the owners
to not sell for some reason, were the high bidder to not pay for example,
the owners would continue to run the business indefinitely as a "boutique
shop" so to speak. They already know what changes they would make. Ideas
aren't the problem, its time. If the sale consummates successfully, then of
course we don't know what the future would hold.

The owners have always been risk takers and have profited from their
chances. Currently the company is listed significantly under the cost of
the inventory - not the retail value, below what the inventory even cost.
Its listed without regard for sales, profits, name recognition. The owners
have enjoyed a free market economy and are willing to let the market dictate
the value. It's a crazy auction, but pcmods has always been a bit crazy.

Any other questions, let me know, I'll do my best to answer within the
confines of the auction listing. Thqt way your link will be newsy for your
readers.

Thanks,
Carl
