Default Windows Update Time Again

Microsoft has released not one, but FIVE critical updates for Windows XP.

Get them while they are hot.

One of these days Im going to switch to Linux permanantly and kiss 99% of the security worries goodbye.

you do still have to worry about security with linux, just letting you know. but it is great. my roommate was forced to use my computer the other day and he was AMAZED at how responsive it was despite the fact that i have a measily 1.6GHz processor and 512 MB RAM with open office, wordperfect, firefox, thunderbird, DC++ (in wine), a couple of terminals, a weather updater, an alarm clock, gimp, xmms, a couple fairly large pdfs open, and GAIM. If you just force yourself to switch over for a few weeks, you will be perfectly comfortable with it. My last issues to resolve now are the production of pdfs, printing, and a more effective way of opening my 1000's of wpd documents. anyway, yea, IE security is just disgusting. All our readers should switch to a number of other browsers: firefox, mozilla, opera or camino or safari on Macs.
