Default usb jump drive

i think this goes here... but this is the first time i have asked a tech question.... so i am not sure......

question - I got a 256 mb usb jumpdrive for my birthday.... uhm..... this one :

http://www.lexar.com/jumpdrive/jd_secure.html

and my home pc is xp/redhat and all other pc's that i would normally use it on are 98se or better, but my computer here at school is windows 98..... which requires a driver, but only driver they have is for SE (yes of course i tried it and no it doesn't work) so i have no idea what to do..... i've been looking around and pretty much every other jump drive i have looked up has the same prob..... only supported on 98 SE or better..... anyone know of any kind of a generic driver or anything like that?

you would think for a tech school they would have up to date technology...... but NOOOOOOO they still have win 98.......

*growls*

also 98 is not quite obsolete why don't they have drivers for it? they have 98SE drivers but not 98 drivers.... i know these systems aren't too different would it have been that difficult to make drivers that work on both systems?

98 is obsolete :P (all versions)

anyways, I think one of the big updates between the original and SE is support for more USB stuff. So you are kinda out of luck. Everyone except people with crappy computer should stop using 98 by now :P

oh yeah, and welcome back Cherry, maybe you'll stay a little longer this time :P

Budgets usually prohibit organizations from updating on a regular basis. Schools inherently have this problem which is an issue that is way off topic.

Try this link. You might find what you need to get it working.
