Default Upcoming PCI Express cards?

I'm curious to know what kinds of PCI express cards will be coming out. Of course there are graphics and drives controllers. What about sound cards and other stuffs?

I don't think there is any need for pci express sound cards - but sooner or later they'll probably come out just so that the super rich enthusiasts can buy em and brag about it :/

i think you're wrong. PCIe separates bandwidth for all your other cards, like your network card, tv tuner, camcorder or other video in, sound. all these will get their own bandwidth, so multimedia systems should perform a lot better.

most of these cards don't need the vast bandwidth that pci express grants.. even video cards aren't even close to benefiting from pci express yet. They will likely EVENTUALLY come out.. but not for a while...

No applications truly utilize and take advantage of PCI-Express either

What about a PCI express modem card, I heard that it could increase your dialup speed to 250KBPS. I used to have a PCI express card, but when I smashed my computer with a sledgehammer, I could not get it to work.

I doubt a pcie modem could increase your dial speed. PCI has a 127mbps transfer rate, so it's definetly faster then any dial up connection, the bottleneck is obviousely the phone line.
