Default trying to convert a compac wide screen

I have a screen from a compac pressario x1000 and the ATI card that it plugged in to. I want to use it as a video monitor for a home dvd player. What do I need to buy to do this and how would I connect it all? I have a souind system that I will hook up to the audio jacks of the dvd player. I know I will have to have a power supply the rest, I don't know.

Most of the video card and the Mobile 9200 chip itself will not help you, but you may be able to use part of the card to get around the controller issue that virtually everyone has been having in "use laptop screen on a pc??" Unfortunately, since the VPU and the screen are both digital, you likely aren't going to see any RAMDACs anywhere on the chip, which would be right before where you would be able to connect your DVD player's analog video signal. If you can find schematics of the layout of the Mobility Radeon 9200, you might be able to connect a DVI or HDMI connection if your DVD player supports it. Other than that I see no luck simply because the source is analog and the entire video system for the laptop is digital.
