what is the deal with all this spam? its gotten worse over the past week or so. is there some kind of feature or patch y'all can install on phpBB to cut down on this crap? whatever happened to the vBulletin move?

sorry for ranting, it doesn't really affect me much, but it has to make the guys who work for TWL mad.

Yes, it is infuriating. If I could, I'd hack every one of them, but I'm not very good and so it takes me hours to get any sort of access. By this time they're usually offline, and it becomes pointless.

I just signed one offender up for about 400 newsletters. The thing is, they can just opt-out of those. What if we create a set of email addresses that would automatically forward all of those newsletters to spammers? Most email addresses have a cap of 15 filters, so any number of email addresses beyond that would allow the newsletters to go through.
