Default Anyone using raid-0 or raid 1 ?

If so please give me a quick review on how it is working, which configuration you are using and what MoBo you use. Also what HD's you use would help too.
Thanks

RAID 1 with a Cobalt Raq4r, two 40 Gig HD's. Works great. For more detailed info on the box go to http://www.cobalt.com.

How much did you have to pay for that server?

They retail for $2199.00 US, but I'm a reseller and with the specials at the time I ended up getting it for just over $1400.00, otherwise I'd still be saving my pennies.

They are great servers especially if your clientele requir .asp and you want to avoid the holes in secruity that everyone on the planet seems to exploit. Sorry Bill no holes here.  ;D

How many of those servers do you sell per month or year?

Your average Joe doesn't buy Cobalt Servers, typically I can sell 5 to 10 a year with a colocation package deal and occasionally if I have a sale I let one or two go here and there.

I sell more FreeBSD servers for people who want their own web server at home. They do not want to spend the big bucks for a real and reliable server.

Such is life. I'm my best customer, again I try mostly to sell a package deal, colocate the server on my rack, and then maintain it for them.
