Bugs in your chips again? Kris Kaspersky thinks so and he aims to prove it by demonstrating an attack that can be carried out against Intel chips. Say goodbye to your security software and antivirus as this attack bypasses everything and goes for the brain of your beast.
"I'm going to show real working code...and make it publicly available," Kaspersky said, adding that CPU bugs are a growing threat and malware is being written that targets these vulnerabilities.
We don't like bugs here at TWL but nevertheless we disagree wholely with Kris's decision to make the code publically available. We view that as blatant disregard for every business and institution across the globe. Why not instead turn the code over to intel to find a patch for first?
We also find it quite humorous that this problem once again hits Intel. Anyone want to bet on the stock price drop after Kris makes the code available? Better yet lets hear from the AMD fanboys who are probably waiting to scream for joy.
