Default Mobile 9800 GT is Really Re-Branded 8800 GTX

From our eagle eyed friends at Killer Notebooks comes a news bulletin about the release of 9800 GT mobile video cards. It seems these cards are nothing more than 8800 GTX's re-branded as 9800 GT's which come with a price premium. As proof we were given several shots of the notebook and internal lable.

Also from Killer Notebooks we have proof that the Q9100 does not work in these notebooks contrary to whatseveral other notebook vendors have said.

Remember if you decide to purchase a notebook from KN to mention TechwareLabs and the owner will make sure to treat you right.

9800 GT Top, clearly visible is the serial number with 8800 GTX listed underneath the bar code.

After taking apart the GPU heatsink casing the card is visible.
This is the 9800 GT bottom, clearly you can see the sticker with what GPU engine is in it NB8E

Executioner with q9100 quad core Penryn in it (it doesn't work), 9800 GT (re-braded 8800 GTX), new revision IV GPU heat sink mod, modified NorthBridge chipset cooler, DDR3-1333 RAM. The bottom sticker clearly shows this is a 570-TU, just released last week system.
