I don't remember it but if you check on the net you'll find copies of it over five months old. Each version is a little diffrent. Some even had diffrent variations of the authors name. And alot of them are from "my brother has a friend" and "I know this guy that has a friend". Did you ever hear or see it on a no shit source. I don't know what the Loundon Daily is as far as trustworthy over here but the web page looks like our tabloids (I saw Elvis with the Loch Ness Monster type stuff). I flew into LAX recently and I didn't see anyone "in handuffs being escorted around." It just looks and sounds like a hoax. And yes when stuff goes wrong and people get unduly punished or "racially profiled" for undue reasons it gets a lot of publicity. Anytime cops use undue forces or violate rights it's a media heyday. Try reading some american news sources sometime. And I'm sorry but I have to ask. What's with painting America as the bad guy all the time bear? It seems to be a running theme with your posts. We make mistakes and we're not the "perfect country". But we do our best to keep Americans safe and to help other countries. It's getting old to keep hearing "Americans are oppressing", "Oh look at what America did", "America is as bad as the terrorists". Do you have something personal agains Americans? I know once you said you had spent time in America. Did something piss you off or do you just not like us? These little political pissing contests are getting old. Did you hear about the Americans that were attacked in Afganastan today, did you know that almost daily they are under some sort of attack? They are there to root out terrorist that killed people from 50 diffrent countries. The US is not the first and will not be the last country to face terrorism. We try to protect other and ourselves yet we're the bad guy. Same song diffrent singer.

That story does sound a tad far fetched. I went on a flight in April of 2002 and I did not see anyone being escorted into jail cells. I did not even think that airports had jail cells. I also think that the us military is controlling the international airports, not the INS.

It does sound a little far-fetched to me too, it may be true. But if it is some of the facts have definetly been exagerated...
I'm from Canada, but I've never been in the States. Sure I'm not too happy about things that are done either, but I don't think something like that would happen. I agree with Grinnin Reaper that if it did it would spread like wildfire in the media...

Analysis: the truth comes out
This seems a fairly sturdy story on the surface, but let's look deeper...
Please read...
1. The author shows many contradictions, which all go to conveying a message, but show that the facts are inaccurate:
It was stated that 5 bored officers "pass time kicking disgusting Chinese's , cursing stupid niggers, threatening filthy latinos", but soon after goes to say "we spend the night immersed in this sea of racial prejudice, brutallity, violence, arrogance and cowardice." This demonstrates that it was written emotionally based, not factually, thus trying to convince of something by playing on emotions. A second instance is where the author feels that it wasn't enough that the Twin Towers came down, but it would be "a far greater victory if they succeed in bending down the spirit, the values and ideals that guided America since it's very birth as an independent Nation." Later he refers to the happening differently, "tragedies such as Sep 11." Now it is apparent that this was written following the trend of what was going on in the writing, and not based on facts.
2. It's filled with falsehoods (or extremely unlikely things): The author stated that that individual wasn't sure when "tiredness will win the battle"...after around 13 hours...Brazilians must have tons of sleep then! Also, it was previously stated that it isn't the INS that enforces this, and that is true. Not sure what country the author supposedly went to. Also, the author was complaining about waiting and having to be in a stinky room with a big screen turned on - I think that's called a line. And if the author complains about that, that individual best stay away from the MVD! BTW, what kind of engineer manages a farm?
There are many more inaccuracies in here. If I have more time, I'll set up a site demonstrating them and rip apart this lie. Americans always get the bad rap, but are the only ones who ever stand up for what is right.

Right on vee_ees, The article was so full of lies and crap that most anyone with an iq of one plus a rock could readily discern it as trash.
---------
"Ricardo, the INS grounds at the Airport are not legally considered American soil, so I cannot invoke any civil right to take you out of there.... he tells me. How about that ??? "
--------
That is about the stupedist statement I ever heard of - I mean how stupid can you get ? TV cameras capture everything happening around and in airports, had this happened, the press would have had a field day with it ! We would have seen it unfold right before our eyes !
Who in his right mind would believe any of this trash ?
Well, come to think of it, I guess Bear did.
It's only purpose is to redicule the USA and it's citizens.

I don't understand why people must make things like this up. America is the only country that actually keeps things fair. America is the enforcer, and, like any other type of enforcer, is commented on because of it. You cannot possibly make everyone perfectly happy, and, even though it should not be our job to keep everyone else in line, we still do despite what others think. If we were to stop, we'd get even more BS. America does things for the better of humanity, other countries just do it to suit themselves or even just their leaders. I mean, come on, how many countries can you name in the entire recorded history that actually makes every place they have confict with better? Only one other, I can name, and that's Alexander the Great. But he still conquered them. U.S. let's them do what they want, but with a more just system. People take this country for granted.
