Got a slower video card.. Radeon 8500, Radeon 9000 ... GF4 ti4200 or a GF4MX. You want some more proformace out of your video without spending the pile of cash for a new card. Theres a SIMPLE solution.
Geo's Guide to Video Proformance
First of you need a overclocking software. For ATi cards I would recommend Rage3d(
www.rage3d.com) or for the Geforce series I would prefer PowerStrip. (I forget the website, but just go on yahoo.com and search for "PowerStrip"). Anyway back to the guide.
First oh all you need to cut or buy a side panel for your case that has a hole in the side.

This one has a hole with vents. Really nice and a window.
Then you need to buy a case fan. Regualr case fan, you can go silent, whatever. Once you get you case fan.. Plug in the plug into the pwoer source. Then instead of installing it so it blows air out of the case. Turn it around to make it blow air into the case right onto the video card. This is very important because video cards cook. This air is like gold and keeps the video card from burning out. Then once that is installed. Turn your computer on. Install the over clocking software. and Over clock your cards core and memory speeds. This should allow you to get more proformance then the stock fan on the gpu. I would recommend going up by 5 MHZ at a time.
