Default Zalman ZM80A-HP Review

Zalman make a heatpipe VGA Cooler to help cool your graphics card without needing a fan. Most of us strive for either a quieter computer or we try and get the most our of our computer components by overclocking them. Which ever you aim for, the Zalman ZM80A-HP VGA cooler could help you achieve this.

Already did this on my 9700 pro but made it an active cooling instead of passive, works awsome, wish this tester would have tested the before and after temps to show how awsome this baby works especially on the space heater "9700 pro". Here is a link to my install. http://www.techwarelabs.com/communit...pic.php?t=3063

It did get quite warm on the first test runs without the fan, and yes the heat pipe did work very very well for it was warm as well as the topside heatsink so it was not just for looks!

Note that the sinks did not get warm until they heat soaked for about 15 minutes while playing flight sim 2002 pro with the card overclocked in which they felt alot cooler than touching the ram or stock sink before the install which leads to the obvious conclusion that the new sinks are working well.

After installing the 80mm fan on the chip side as well as having the led 80mm fan blowing directly into the core and over most all the sinks, I noted that they all were cool to the touch except the sink that was placed on the heat spreader from the factory which was mildly warm but not blistering hot as it usually was.
