Default Kazza d/l's THEORY

Basically my hypothesis is,

If its currently a popular artist then the songs will be F*cked up

Black eyed peas-Where is the love

never heard of em until a friend asked me to burn that song for him

made bad noises like some of 50 cent

RIAA im positive now is discouraging file sharing by putting out bogus files

I feel the same way you do about the riaa, and yes those bogus songs are a HUGE pain.. but i'd be careful about saying you DL songs and stuff in public, you DO NOT want a $10k+ lawsuit on your hands. :/

also, check out WASTE (i'm not sure if there's a network for this or not though, i ahven't had time to fiddle with it) for encrypted file sharing. I think there may be others. Sourceforge would be a good place to poke around for one.

I just make sure I don't have any files in "my shared folder." And besides, all I download is classic rock like the Stones, Zepplin, Creedence, etc. I don't think the RIAA is too worried about that. My feelings are, if the bands only put 1 decent song on their album, why should we have to pay $15-$20 for the one song. We listen to it on the radio for free, why can't we have a copy for ourselves to listen to it for free, we're not selling it, so how is that illegial? If we buy a cd, we have the rights to do what we want with it. We can burn our friends a copy if we want and that's not illegial, so why can't we do the same through file sharing? I have 100's of cds, so I'm not freeloading off of it. I would never have bought The Exies's cd if it wasn't for filesharing. It turns out that their sorriest song was their hit and all the good stuff was on their cd. I bought the cd, I didn't just "freeload" it.
