"Library Spoff writes "The BBC are reporting that Microsoft are bringing out a mouse that will use the scroll wheel to tilt as well as roll. The innovation means that users will be able to scroll vertically as well as horizontally without using on-screen navigation bars." How long before I get a trackball embedded in my mouse?"
Forget the trackball in your mouse, I want a trackball in my trackball!!!! Here that Logitech! If you have a contact at Logitech that would seriously listen to my plea on this one, email me!
It appears the scrolling mechanism itself is smooth (no clicking). This is a great idea (even though I had it god knows how many years ago). But why don't they make mice whose buttons don't make a loud CLICK when you click them?! With the number of times I woke my roommate up when clicking away at night, M$ and Logitech could be held financially responsible for lost sleep and psychological trauma.
