Default Pat Tillman Died Today

Pat Tillman turned his back on a 3.6 million dollar football deal playing for Arizona to serve his country in the Army. Today in Afghanistan he died protecting this country. Some people really have their values in line and Pat stepped up to the line. TWL salutes you Pat and your family.

Read the story here.

"For all the respect and love that all of us have for Pat Tillman and his brother and Marie, for what they did and the sacrifices they made ... believe me, if you have a chance to sit down and talk with them, that respect and that love and admiration increase tenfold," Coach Dave McGinnis said at the time. "It was a really, really enriching evening."

i'm a little sick of celebritiness. His death is no more important than the several hundred that have died before him or the deaths of Afghans and Iraqis. Outrage like this should have come out when the first soldiers died, not when a celebrity dies.

James,

I agree, but its good to see that the deaths of our US soldiers are getting the respect they deserve. There should be more for all who died though.
