Default Internet access

If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and flies like a duck, call it a duck. 'Bundles' of telephone and DSL service labeled monopolistic practices in California. Now if they only would do the same for the cable/cable broadband bundling.

"do the same"? they said they were unbundling local calling services from their dsl service bundles. because it's being monopolistic and destroying local telephone companies. how is that the same as bundling cable?

What he means is for bundling of cable modem service and cable TV service. Let's take Cox Communications for instance.

I can order their internet service(HSI) for $40 a month. If I don't have at least basic cable I get charged an extra $10 on top of that. Their basic cable(24 channels) service is only $12. So basically you say why not pay $2 more and get basic cable? This is route I went with since it will cost more than $2 a month for my satellite provider to activate my locals.
