Okay, I really, really, really need help
Okay,
I know how to send parameters from Access to SQL Server.
Example:
Execute proc_name param1, param2
I am having SQL return an error to me if something fails. I want to report the error to the user in Access. If SQL is passing something back how do I capture it?
Would it be
Execute proc_name param1, param2, err1, err2
If so I must be doing something else wrong because it is not reporting an error.
This is currently an Access97 db with a SQL 2000 backend.

Thanks for trying. With all the Largely paid Tech people here, you would think I could get an answer from one of them!
It is times like this when it would be nice for the so-called company I work for would offer some training.
I guess I will be going back to school this fall.

(I also noticed that my so-called salary increase that was supposed to be effective January 1 has not actually made it to my paycheck yet)

Re: Okay, I really, really, really need help
Sorry to hear it on all counts. Would be nice to find an answer to your issues and get the paycheck sorted out too.
I sure miss getting a paycheck but I don't miss having the dress code and company policies etc. I do like working for myself.
Course if I wasn't I would probably be unemployed. Most my peers here are still looking for work. Sucks.

Re: Okay, I really, really, really need help
I would love to work for myself. I am trying to save a little cash so I can do that. I can't quit work because of the insurance and the steady pay. So far I have 0. But I have hopes. I have a condo down here that I can sell for about 20k. I have a renter in there right now, but his lease will be up soon. I have also expanded my hobbies to include professional crafting. I am going to make stuff out of wood - furniture and nick nacks. I have made toys and puzzles for the kids-in-distress organization and little things for my family. Now I am going to try furniture. When I make my first table I will post a picture.
Keep hopes up. Every business starts small. But my grandpa used to say "The bigger the person's heart, the bigger the business". I have a feeling you have a BIG heart.
