Default Mononucleosis: It Sucks

Well. I've been out of it for roughly a week and a half. I got diagnosed with Mono last Friday and the worst part about it is that I don't even know where I got it from. I gave it to my girlfriend unknowingly, so I didn't get it from her (and luckily she's showing no signs of having it so far). But a week and a half has passed and I'm almost fully revived minus a small sniffle. I'm so glad I'm over it though. I won't be able to work out or do intense activities for a month, which really really sucks, but I'll live.

I also missed out on a senior trip that my highschool had. A week in california with all the major theme parks and beaches. But oh well...no going back now. I'm just glad it's overwith, like I said.

So has anyone else had to endure this week of hell? How'd you survive?

mono usually flys around colleges. you know, because you all pretty much live together, eat in the same cafeteria for lunch and dinner everyday.

anyway, i had a touch of mono once while i was living on campus. caught it early, so it wasn't nearly as bad as yours mik3. no matter how much you sleep you're still tired. feel like you got hit by a truck. blah.

sucks man, glad you're getting better.

later

Well I went in for a checkup. Looks like all symptoms have left minus very minor congestion. I'm so glad it's over. I can live again. And yes Aemon_ it does feel like you get hit by a truck, heh. Perfect analogy. 4 more weeks and I'll be ready to work out and wrestle and do all the stuff 18 year old guys are suppose to do, woo hoo!

you say that now. Peer pressure is such a b a s t a r d ! Besides drinking helps to keep your immune system up. You might want to consider it so you won't get mono again.
