Developing and releasing an operating system isn’t good enough in this
day and age. If you were in the shoes of Microsoft or Apple, your goal
would be to get people to use your software in interesting ways, and in
turn, you would need to be there to support them through each step of
the way. Operating systems open up so many different possibilities, and
if uneducated users aren’t guided through some of these possibilities,
then they may just resort to browsing the Internet and playing Solitaire.
