Default Koffee and the keyboard Matter

Well today was an enjoyable day.

I had appointments all day that kept me from my office. Phew, you would normally think relief right?

Not today, (duh duh duhhhhhhh)!

Well, before leaving the office this morning I was drinking my morning koffee, when doh!!!! I knocked it over and a wee bit got on my nice new shiny black keyboard. I hastened to get a towell and dab it up.

Things were great and working fine. Catastrophy over, nuther bullet dodged. But did I? How long does it take for Koffee to affect an unsuspecting keyboard? Don't know? Well I'll tell you  ;D

I sublet some space in my office to a Agricultural Realtor and oh approx. 2 hours after leaving today he calls me on my cell phone. He asks, "Nick can you hear that?" I say, "What's that noise", he says well I'm not sure but it sounds like it's coming from one of the two comptuers next to your desk".

Noise from one of my computers, I think what could it be. I only have 9 computers on my network two of which are my servers. One of those servers resides peacably next to my desk. Crap, I'm a half hour away and what ever the worse case scenario you can think of is going through my mind.

I get there 40 minutes later to find I cannot do anything with my workstation. Yes it was my workstation not the server. One good thing doesn't always make you feel better. Any how after a few reboots, cold and warm, I beat the crap outa my new keyboard for falling victum to some unworthy Koffee. The nerve and weakness, what was it thinking?

Replace it with another dull gray board, yuck and all is back to normal. Moral of the story? Well dont' drink koffee next to yoru keyboard unless you plan on taking it apart and cleaning it out. Or unlike me don't be clumsy and all will be well. Could've been worse, but today it was enough to make it strange.

Tune in next week when Wizbones puts his 98 CD in the Microwave, wait I've read that somewhere before haven't I?
