Default Alienware Announces Video Array and X2

Known for their top-of-the-line gamer systems, Alienware has gained a good portion of the market share recently. Today at E3, Alienware announced a revolutionary technology that may turn a few heads. The technology, coined "Video Array" will allow multiple video cards, of any make/model/chipset, to work together on graphics processing.

Video Array is an accelerated graphics processing subsystem that will allow users to add multiple, off-the-shelf video cards to their Alienware computer systems and have both cards process graphic commands in parallel. Understanding the wide-ranging wants and needs of its customers, Alienware designed its solution so that it is not tied to any one specific video card. This design will allow users to take full advantage of the fastest video card on the market for a significant performance increase.

What really gets our attention is that this technology, combined with Alienware's X2 dual PCI-Express slot motherboard and two nice PCI-X video cards, would have tremendous graphics processing power.

More information can be found on Alienware's website.
