More layoffs?

i have not used the word you to represent a person for a country

a healthy debate should not be generalized and a greater whole should not be represented by just direct speech and point and speak

second of all
it is my opinion that the Bush administration has kept up the war in Aghanistan instead of a short attack is to raise his rating

when Bush first became the president of America, half of the people in USA did not agree with Bush and think that he stole the election.
with the war on terrorism and the patriatism along comes the whole country of USA backing the government up
rating has gone up to more than 80% for Bush

thirdly
no one says terrorism is good
it is wrong but evil has its root and its reasons
it is their form of revenge and i believe no one here including me approves of these horroble actions

yes, lets cover all the aspects
US has intervened politics in the Middle East and around the world because it has to and it is the most powerful nation in the world currently
and the Arabs (not Saudi Arabians but arabs in origin) have been under the power of European colonization since long ago and has been trying to copy the western civilization for years
for what?
for achieving to be a nation as powerful and strong and proud as USA
they have failed and failed and they are still poor
so people like Usama decided to unite the arabs (himself for one) to fight against US

the arabs have been under the power of USA, Europe and depended on them for years
that is why there are organizations calls war on US through terrorism

yes, Saddam wants to take over Kuwait for the oil deposits there

perhaps we should see what UN finds first before start saying

What he does now will protect you and your family for decades to come.

and criticism on Canada is really unnecessary
we are a peace loving country and we support the UN in anyway we can and we fight side by side with the US
we sent troops to Aghanistan
and we get troops bombed by US fighters in return
how ironic
not many people like the government in canada, our politics is as dynamic as the US
we are polite because we want peace
peace by means of not bombing or shooting missiles on inocent civilian homes and pill manufactoring plants

and what does this have anything to do with thanksgiving
it just happened that you replied in this thread on the weekend of thanksgiving
that doesnt mean this topic is designated to be debated purposely on a thanksgiving occasion

Saddam is a threat to the US, yes and to the rest of the world as well
weapons they have may not just effect a city but it can be in a large scale

What ! you didn't even mention the link I provided exposing more erosion of you basic freedoms ! What to hell does it take to make you speak out against the erosion of your freedoms by your own Gov ? As far as the "spy plane" (that cracked me up on the news an EP-3 is not a spy plane) that China forced down last year, that plane has a specialized mission. The U-2 does a terrific job at what it's designed for but the EP-3 is a completly diffrent animal in form, function, and mission. And econimically speaking I can see what you say about India, China, and Russia. but

Russia borrowed 100 billion from USA
and when one country depend on US, they hate US but pretends to like them in the surface
therefore, Russia shares information with China

I do not agree with, just because they both detest America doesn't me they get along by default. Only one class of people do I know that feel that way and that is the Arabic culture. In Arabic culture many feel that "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". Few other cultures I'm aware of share that theroy. Russia and China may share secrets but I doubt it's from a common hatred of America. And as far as the money goes many countries have borrowed money from America, few if any have repayed it.

As far as President Bush furthering the conflict to gain popularity I don't see that. I truley believe he's doing what he feels is right. A fair amount of American't don't fully agree with him and if action is taken I fear he will lose popularity. But I feel it is neccessary. I've talked to many people and some truely understand the implications of the proposed action but not many. Many just fear it because they don't fully understand. If Saddam is a threat, only not an immediate threat, why should we wait? When would be a good time? Does anyone truley believe the east and west will someday get along and Saddam will just be happy with that? And more importantly what if we're all wrong. What if he is setting on a nuke right now. Survillance and intelligance can only go so far. Only one man knows exactley what he has and his intent with it. Should we allow him the time to put himself in a better postion? He's had 11 years. 3 of which there has been no inspections. In that time he has proven he has chemical and biological, because he has used them on his own people. Do you really think he would hesitate to use them on the people he hates the worst? He's just waiting for a good time to do it. Will it harm US relations with the middle east? Probably. But your harming relations with a group of people that con't even get along with themselves. Many wars have desimated that area, mostly over terroritorial dissputes. Many people in that culture look for and thrive on bloodshed, not all, but many. Few cultures still have such a war-like mentallity. They continually look for and perpetuate conflict amonst themselves, if they can have a common enemy they will join forces and work together for a while but later they go back to fight amoungst themselves. We can only walk on our toes so long. Eventually you have to step on someone else's toes. Espically if it means safe guarding your on life.

Yeah! I made it, I am still here! I am not sure that is a good thing though. Now we are all wondering when the next round is going to be. I heard Sun, Motorola, Delta, Qwest are all laying off thousands of people.
