Ah, if you bought pc3500 then you are set That is the fastest best around, and no you do not have toget a matched set at all! A matched set is just guaranteed to run at 400mhz ddr for pc 3200. Trustme you will have no probs running 400mhz + if you can go above 1.75V on the northbridge.

you need 2 sticks to be able to run DUAL CHANNEL. If you buy 1 stick of 512 then you can't run dual channel.....

yeah man, dual channel is the bomb... massive increase in score over single... but remeber, one thing I have learned that most have not is on an nforce board you are limited to a max bandwidth of 6.2 gb +/- a little. Most people think that running super high fsb speeds is were the 3dmark scores are at but in fact they are not It is all in the tuning unless your willing to do tons of vmods. I have proved it over and over!for instance the difference between 166 and 192 fsb is HUGE, the difference in bandwidth between 192 and 210 because of the limitations of the chipset whichmeans the difference at high fsb is really not that much when you look at it in sandra, and you will score higher running faster timings So keep it under 195-194 fsb and run your timings wicked hard, then use the multiplyer to peak out your mhz of the chip... just a little advice

Alright, here is what I'm thinking I should go with...

AMD XP 3000 or 2800 (depends on how much cabbage I can swing)
Asus A7N8X Deluxe
(2) Corsair XMS PC-3500C2 256MB DDR

The Tyan Tachyon 9700 pro shipped out today.

I "thought" I was gonna get a 3000. Newegg said they would be in on the 18th. They did get them and sold out in a matter of minutes.

I don't know if I should wait for the 3000 or go ahead and get the 2800 barton.

AARRHG.. Newegg is sold out of the Epox boards.
