I just got into an argument with Bellsouth, so needless to say, we're switching to cable. We'll have 2Mb/s down and 256Kb/s up...Even faster than what we have now.

Actually, they're releasing a new DSL, which is 3Mb/sec, 400kb/sec up, so I think were're going with that...

hehe

Here's my story. Mom got Charter Pipeline about 1.5 yrs ago. All was well, had 512/256 plan, got advertised speeds. 6 Months later, right before I moved out into my sisters apartment cuz I wasn't getting along with my mom, we I had some connection issues and had a tech come out to take a look. Turned out my existing modem was fried, they issued me a modem on the spot and billed me $5/month to use it. About a month later I was forced to move back home. My mom had cancelled the cable cuz she had no use for it while I was gone. Or did she? It seems like they didn't make record of the modem the tech issued me. So my mom wasn't being billed for anything yet I have blazing fast (3000/384) cable for free!

Thanks charter! This has been the issue for about 8 months now.

heh.. I mean, if it weren't for the LCD's versatility and light weight, I would have stuck with my 19" CRT.
