No more rocket jumping at QuakeCon?

Apparently for this year's QuakeCon, rocket jumping is no longer allowed. It's a bit absurd in my opinion, as it takes skill to pull off some good moves with rocket jumping, and basically they're just going to remove this aspect of the game from the tournment?

"Weapon assisted jumps during invulnerability or regular gameplay - Using weapons to assist jumps during the invulnerability time or regular gameplay is not allowed." No Rocket-Jumping."
