Overclocked a virgin

heh nice topic to start with but im actualy referring to my Athlon 1.2GHz tbird 133 fsb received its first OC lastnite

bios locked the multiplier
even with DIP 10 on

anyways
with a mechanical pencil in my hand, i was ready to unlock the CPU
but it was factory unlocked when i checked

surprise surprise

ok
i got to 156fsb x 9 (default multi) = 1400 MHz so thats a pure 200 MHz OC just with fsb and NO vcore change



good thing is my friend tricked my bios with jumpers
he changed some DIPs and voila
its at 10

10.5 wasnt stable enuf

anyways
my friend and i got to 146x10 = 1466




it seems like my cheapy PC2100 ram held up pretty well
