Default Will SCO kill Linux?

Dunno if any of you are following this, but SCO has laid claims to important parts of the UNIX code used in Linux. SCO has already sent out letters to major businesses informing them they should seek legal advice in regards to their use of Linux. In addition, they have a 1billion dollar lawsuit against IBM concerning their use of Linux.

It appears SCO is trying to cash in on the popularity of Linux. By doing so, they may end the whole open source concept by charging for the use of Linux.

I'm not a user of Linux, but I think this whole thing stinks like roadkill of a one week old skunk in 90 degree heat. :P
