sometimes even when you put all your attention on driving

accidents can still not be avoided

that is a proven fact

and its not only one person that is speeding in an area, there might be 2 or more
and rate of accidents is obviously higher

Soccer_Stud and eviltechie, both have good comments. A couple months ago I was driving on an Aterial Street and I was at an intersection and the light turned yellow. I couldn't stop so I keep going. There was a car making a left turn and didn't stop. I had to go around that car cuz it already started to turn. He must have been in a hurry cuz he thought I was going to stop. I was about a foot away from having an accident. He should have stopped and looked to see what I was going to do.
You can be the best driver and still get impatient idiots on the street waiting to cause an accident.

When I drove a cab in Berkeley I had an incidenet "like" above
at least once a day (8 hrs/day driving) there are many careless drivers out there.

I saw a TV program about train crasches with cars and trucks
so many ppeople trying to "beat" the train running under gates
etc.
The force of the train hitting car was compared
with beer can hit by car !
A train going 5 mph sweeps an 18 wheeler away
like nothing.

that kind of yellow light incident happens often too

and juts with me on saturday
i had to keep going because i was over the "line of no return"
but this car was making a left turn on the opposite side came too
it was close...

people should be more careful when they make left turns when they cant see as oncoming cars block the view

My favorite is my 1991 Spirit R/T. There is something about a DOHC intercooled 4 cylander that gets me off.... or maybe its stomping on mustangs and camaros... not sure
