This forum has always gotten most of its posters from them seeking help. Since most of the regulars apparently don't know about computers other than 3DMark scores, threads where help is seeked are often littered with useless posts with only a few helpful posts among them. I'm going to step it up in my moderating and start deleting unhelpful posts in threads where help is seeked. Since I don't have the time to come here every day (sometimes every week would be more applicable) I ask all of you to watch your posts and avoid littering in threads where a solution is needed.
BTW, I like the "Edit://" as opposed to "Edit: " Cik.

Okay...so I am digging through the historical journals of this site...trying to piece the history together...what happened?...was this a much bigger site at one time?...did it slowly (or quickly) die?...and is now coming back strong?...anyone been around long enough to share some light?

Yea it was a lot bigger. Then it just... died within the past few years. Seems like it's been slightly getting busier though.

Maybe it's just me... or maybe the big days were before I joined... All i've noticed is that a couple of the big-timers left...
IMO, this site has always had pretty lousy reviews, material, etc... I'm only here for the forum (I joined because I had an issue and it was fixed... go figure).

Jason, that's how a lot of forums rebuild and end up with a whole new, and often better, community of people.
Forumites come and go through natural attrition but if the info and topics are there, newbies will show up and some stay a while.

Now Vicki2...I object to you saying "new and better community of people"...mostly cause...well...I am here now...how can that possibly be an upgrade of any knid?...I spend half of my time going through old threads...take it back!...

Now guys ..lol. Things and groups do change and sometimes it ends up better for those who have been around for a while (once you get used to the change, that is!). Upgrade isn't the right word though ...it's more like metamorphis ...how's that !?

What if you don't like change?...what if you just want the old people back huh?...what's that?...well, I don't know, I never met the old people, I am just saying...maybe I don't want change...maybe its nice and safe being inside a cocoon...
