np

to think that hotmail is planning to quit support for outlook express....

they better think twice now that Gmail is basically ramming MS into a wall

so google will win the webmail war against MS (basically almost anyone kicks hotmail's ass before it took some steroids lol)

and mozilla is kicking MS's ass with firefox and pretty soon, thunderbird

DIE MS DIE!

go go ubuntu linux!
go go SUSE 9.1!!

GO MACGYVER!
lol

Ok. It's all ready. Go into "New Features" in Gmail at the top of the screen and look at how to enable pop in your settings.

Then set it up. And you have to do more then regular pop too. It uses SSL pop access, and you have to configure your smtp for a different port and use TLS and your login stuff.

But that's what makes it so cool and secure

IMAP keeps all messages on the server so you can access your mailserver form multiple computers.

POP3 Downloads them and deletes them from the server

pop3 saves space and is more secure, in that someone can't go back and read your mail...
