that kid was samrt to be able to hack into his school , but not masking his IP wat a newb.... lol. if you can think of a way other than asking wat the proxy address is, do that, but make sure it says something to the effect of it letting you know what the proxy address is. dont worry bout that list, ill send it to you sometime tomm.

Ok, I'm at school now. Unfortunately I didn't bring my USB drive today for other reasons. Anyways, I found out that my school filter is NOT BESS. It is 8e6 from http://www.8e6.com. Using firefox to go around the proxy would still work, correct?

Also, when I try to go to myspace, in the URL bar I see this:

http://1.2.3.4:81/cgi/block.cgi?URL=...T&USER=DEFAULT

So is the 1.2.3.4:81 the proxy?

I dont think at all that the 1.2.3.4 numbers are the proxy b/c fopr a schol to use that is unlikely and too easy for a program to corrupt. From what i can tellis that its blocking that IP that ur trying to use. firefox and that list of proxy use should. the set of ips that my school uses is 10.#.#.# so you could try using one of the 156.#.#.# combos or try something random. Heres the file.
REMEBER USE ONLY THE ONES HIGHLIGHTED IN YELLOW B/C THOSE ARE U.S. PROXY ADDRESSES.
Good luck man.
but still listen around for anything that you could try and use to get the first three of the proxy b/c then thats ur way out of school internet and your way into the normal internet that ur used to.

I found another site that you might be able to use to get around it. its called www.stupidcensorship.com
try that, Im at school right now too. Bess blocked that b/c of the fact that it was a lop hole, so more than likely 8e6 might block it too. but like i said firefox and that list, should work. but mainly try and find out what the first three numbers of the proxy are. O snap, im taking this class at a community college and im gettin this bootdisk that u can use to get past anything. ill try and make an image of it using alchohol and then u need to install that on ur jumpdrive (keep in mind i have a 4gig flash drive and i run programs off of it) and then mount that image on it or you can use a linux boot disk and get into it that way to see what you want. Lemme know if you need more help man.

Lol. It's the same as the proxy site I've created. It's blocked here, but I was able to use my proxy site to access it, only to find out it's a web proxy. LOL. Well anyways, my teachers computer has firefox installed and I'm on it right now (she let's us use it at lunch.) And on it, I am able to change the proxy. Unfortunately, something weird is happening. She is blocked throught 8e6 filter, but when I go to IE and view the proxy settings, there isn't one available (direct connection). So I just tried putting in a bunch of the 156 proxies from that list you gave me. It didn't work. What do you suggest? This computer is "restriction" free but it has a web filter. So what should I do? I should be able to figure out the proxy somehow considering it's not admin disabled.

there are two things that i can advise you to do. 1. Try putting in all (yes, i know i said all. lol) of the proxy addresses that are highlighted or 2. Get sattelite internet and use it at school. Those are the only two things that i can think of. Worst case scenario, ur school has actually gotten smart about how to stop kids from gettin past their filter, which leads me to the conclusion that ur school sux. lol. good luck, lemme know what happens.

Then depending on what the first three numbers of that IP is then thats one of the possible sets that you can use when or if you get the document that I can provide that has a list of proxy server IP's.
Ok, it would be great if you can get me the document. And sadly, when you click on "tools>internet options", it says "administrator has blocked this function." And also anything you try and install is blocked. So I wouldnt be able to remove that by another program or even install firefox. Even "Start>Run" is blocked so I can't access registry. Any ideas?

Oh and P.S., Since I can't install, would I still be able to run the Firefox through flash drive without installing?
yeah (hi, i'm new) it'd be great if i could do that, but my school has disabled students from even getting into internet options. someone figured out how to get a portable firefox onto one of the computers, but its impossible (or so it seems) to get into internet options

rickoshay, its easy man. all you have to do is put firefox (Mozilla FireFox) onto a flash drive and then you can run it off of that, you and kutibah can both try this, try using the auto detect thingy on firefox and you can try and figure what the proxy address is that way. If you dont mind me askin, how old is you, and what is ur technical background?

If you're asking me, I'm 15 (almost 16) and I know quite a lot of computer programming and some hacking. I know I sound like a n00b here and that's because I'm not that great with "physical" computers; I'm better on the "web".

By the way, I tested a USB drive on my school computer and amazingly it worked (and that was on the "SECURITY ENABLED" computer ). Now all I have to do is find the proxy. But what I don't understand is what do you mean by the "auto-detect" setting? I see that under connection settings, but how do I find the proxy once I select that?
